♪ Leslie was born and pretty much raised in West Chester.
♪ His first "real" job was a radio dj. He always knew he wanted to do something with music, even if it was just dj'ing.
♪ Leslie was discovered for his musical talents when he was 19 years old.
♪ While doing the radio show, he would get bored and sing along with the music. One night he did an acoustic set of songs he wrote with a friend on air. This lead to a phone call of interest, and an opportunity to record some of his own music.
♪ His first gig ever was at Kildares when he was sixteen. He still cites that place as where his love affair with the live crowd began.
♪ Leslie always believed in writing his own music. But opportunity knocked and he took it. A band called Death By Design, signed to Universal Records, lost their singer due to his personal choice to leave the band. After an extensive search, the band almost gave up on finding a new singer until Leslie auditioned. This all started to take off in 2002.
♪ Leslie was brought on as their new singer after signing with them, and the band began molding together to form a strong cohesive unit. He's been touring and fronting the band ever since.
♪ In the public eye, Leslie used to go by Leslie Dean, however no longer bothers since everyone knows him by his real name anyway.
♪ He's been touring the world, writing, and even dabbling a bit in producing music actively since 2002 almost non-stop. After almost seven years of straight work, Leslie decided to purchase a home in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania after living in Los Angeles, California with Death By Design for those past seven years.
♪ The band relocated to West Chester to work on their fourth studio album, which debuted at #1 on the charts upon release.
♪ Leslie is known for being very eccentric on stage. He's equally eccentric in real life. He's a very stylish individual, he loves fashion and all things involved with it. He lives a very fashion-based lifestyle as you can tell by looking at him or checking his extensive wardrobe.
♪ Despite being lurched into the limelight at a relatively early age, Leslie likes to live a down home type of lifestyle. His 'fame game' if you will caused his marriage to his ex-model girlfriend to fail. No longer a 'hella superficial' individual, Leslie is basically returning home to remember where he came from and get his life in check away from the glitz and glamour of an a-list Hollywood lifestyle.
♪ Toured extensively with the Carnival of Sins tour in 2009, with acts such as The Massacre, Amy Quinn, Waking Midnight and Primal Scream.
♪ On September 29th Leslie married fellow rocker Amy Quinn in a private Las Vegas ceremony while on the Carnival of Sins tour.
